For facilitators
Run a “Discover AI” workshop
Library, association, community space, AI café: a free one-hour workshop with no sign-up, based on the “Getting started” path.
One-hour plan
Durations are indicative; adapt them to the group. Each part relies on a step of the path, to project or print.
- 10 min
Welcome and expectations
Round table: who already uses an AI assistant, for what, with which questions or concerns?
- 5 min
Step 1 · What exactly is AI?
An AI does not “think” like us: it spots patterns in huge amounts of data. Generative AI creates new content from an instruction.
- 10 min
Step 2 · How an assistant like ChatGPT works
The model predicts how a text continues: that is what lets it write, summarise or translate. The length and cost of an exchange are measured in tokens.
- 5 min
Step 3 · Talking to it well
Say who you are, what you want to achieve and in what form. Feel free to correct and clarify: it is a conversation.
- 5 min
Step 4 · Knowing its limits
Always check important information against a reliable source. Do not share personal or confidential data without knowing the terms of use.
- 15 min
Hands-on
In pairs, describe a real project in the “Find a tool” engine, then write a request with the prompt generator.
- 10 min
Wrap-up
Key takeaways, precautions (personal data, checking facts), and where to continue: the full path and the entries.
Printable entries
Every entry prints cleanly on A4: menu, footer and buttons are hidden, sources stay visible with their address. Open an entry, then use your browser’s Print command.
The tool finder, live
Project the engine and let the group describe a project: the recommendation explains its criteria, with no paying providers.
Open the engineFacilitation tips
- Start from the group’s needs rather than from tools.
- Show an AI error (hallucination) and how to check it.
- Remind people never to enter personal data into a consumer assistant.
- Suggest finishing the path at home: progress stays in the browser, no account needed.
